Peer Review Center - Credits for Reviews

Privacy

PeerReviewCenter.org preserves the anonymity of reviewers and will never associate the name of a reviewer with the title, or with the authors, of a manuscript or proposal that has been reviewed. Indeed, names of authors and titles of manuscripts cannot be entered in the pre-defined fields of PeerReviewCenter.org

With the exception of qualified humans who review the evidence provided by review credit issuers, PeerReviewCenter.org is a fully automated service that brings reviewers together in a self-regulated community. Cross-checking algorithms and encryption software are used to automatically ensure the privacy and security of the data.

PeerReviewCenter.org requires some information (family name, first name, e-mail address, and professional information) for using the service. This is necessary to prevent abuse. This information is not made accessible to other users of the system, with the exception of some fields related to the areas of professional competence, which could be made available to third parties for the purpose of finding competent reviewers. However, even these fields are made available *if and only if* the reviewer is willing to do so by ticking a box. By default, PeerReviewCenter.org will NOT disclose any information to third parties.

PeerReviewCenter.org will be gradually introducing a number of services to help reviewers monitor and make the best use of their credits. For example, reviewers can compare their review load to the average review load of their peers. In no case, however, reviewers can see names of other reviewers using this service.

Please see the Terms of Use.
